Prayer is the practice of the presence of God. It is the place where pride is abandoned, hope is lifted, and supplication is made. Prayer is the place of admitting our need, of adopting humility, and claiming dependence upon God. Prayer is the needful practice of the Christian. Prayer is the exercise of faith and hope. Prayer is the privilege of touching the heart of the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:6-7

Father, in Your mercy, hear our prayers.

Earlier this year, I prayed that God send me a mate. This is the first year that I have ever done so. So now someone has suddenly come back into my life after 30 years and it feels 'right', unlike other relationships I have had. However, I pray for God's wisdom to reveal this to both of us and if so, I pray that God continues to keep us both focused on HIM so that we may act according to His Word and seek HIM first as we begin to get to know each other.

Hello,
This is Sister Roz. I ask for prayers today (Good Friday) for my father, Sellie. He is 90 years young and facing surgery today. He is good man and a good father and I believe that even though he has lived a full life, he has more to do in God's kingdom, so I ask for healing prayers today. I also ask for my prayers for my mom, Marian, too, as she goes through this difficult time. They have been married for 67 years and I feel blessed to have the two of them as parents. God Bless you all during this Holy Week.

I want to start off by saying "THANK YOU GOD" I recently made a prayer request for my return to church on Sundays. I went on with my day looking at the situation for what it appeared to be, no chance at all because of seniority issues. God took this opportunity to show up and show out. People did the unthinkable, they changed shifts, and they changed their most wanted days off. I say they did it, but I know that my Lord and Savior is in control of everything. I am proud to report that I went into the office to bid for my shift and saw the days I asked God for, Sunday/Monday. I bowed my head and shouted Thank you God and the lady sitting there was startled. I apologized for scaring her and said to her, "you just don't understand." I also want to thank all of you believing and praying on my behalf. Again, thank you. It doesn't go into effect until April 26, 2009. That's okay, I am praising Him right now and anyway.
