Who We Are:
Senior Usher Ministry
This ministry program is for servant volunteers from the age of 19 and
older. We provide usher service on Sundays at all services, with some
exception.
Junior Usher Ministry
This ministry program is for servant volunteers between the ages of
11 to 18. Junior Ushers serve every 4th and 5th Sunday.
Acolytes Ministry
This ministry is for those servant volunteers between
the ages of 6 to 10. They perform ceremonial duties
such as the lighting of the altar candles.
What We Do:
Ushers are forerunners. We prepare the Church for worship.
We receive direction and the order of service from our pastor. We are the
first to arrive, and we prepare the Sanctuary to be able to welcome the people
of God and our guests. We also prepare the service tools of worship.
The Levites were appointed to serve the tabernacle of the Lord.
They served in various capacities and had custody of the
tabernacle. They served as temple servants and gatekeepers. Their
principal roles in the Temple included singing Psalms during Temple
services, serving the High Priest, performing construction
and maintenance on the Temple, and other services.
They had earned the reputation as God’s trusted servants.
At Heritage Fellowship Church,
the Usher Ministry is
symbolically like the Levites.
When Do We Meet:
The Senior User Ministry meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m.
Junior Users and The Acolytes Ministry meet the third Saturday of each month at 2:00 p.m.
