Fellow members of Heritage,
It gives us great honor to serve you as your new Building Committee Chairmen. One can only delight in the gleam of promise of what is in store for our church body. Having
embraced the vision of the pastor, there’s no doubt that by the Hand of
God, blessings are to come, lives will be impacted, souls will be
enlightened, and the change arising at 2501 Fox Mill Road will alter
the secular focus of this our community forever. The mere thought is breathe taking: This very change is forthcoming!
Many of you are probably aware that we, The HFC Building Ministry, have
been working diligently to acquire the necessary permits that will
allow us to start construction right here; on these our home premises
within the next few months. For additional update, take a look:
- We
have selected LeMay Erickson Architects (they have submitted
construction documents into the county for Building Permit Application).
- We have met with consultants and made selections for our kitchen equipment.
- We have met with consultants and selected lighting arrangements and equipment for the sanctuary
- We have selected the type of HVAC system.
- We have selected Scott Long as our general contractor.
- We have met with the Pew Representatives.
- The
Site Plan is approximately 90% approved by the Fairfax County. Once
approved and permits are in place, we will be submitting documents into
V-Dot and Bonding for the county.
- Fairfax
County Water Authority has approved 2/3 of their process and we are
projecting to have complete approval with regard to FCWA by 12/21/07.
- We have secured a location for our interim space and we anticipate readiness for service by mid February.
You may also be aware that because of particular financial restraints, we are utilizing a phased approach. Understand that this is not based on thoughts of doubt in what God will do. It’s only to establish milestones of completion with respect to where we are financially. As
Chair and Co-Chair, Deacon Clifford Jeter, myself, and the members of
the HFC Building Committee are focused and committed on the
establishment of God’s Kingdom, not for our on glory, but for His glory
and in representation of the people of Heritage. This is
a new and exciting time. Let us celebrate, pray for and embrace the
change, because from this point onward, it is all about faith as a body
in Christ.
Respectfully,
HFC Building Ministry
